Why Evil?

Evil arises its ugly head whenever we allow ourselves to be used, to be a slave. That is the task of evil not just in our society but most importantly within our inner life.

It may be an electronic gadget, it may be a relationship, it may be an event, it may be a thought, it may be a fear, it is anything that forms a barrier to our freedom.

No gadget, nobody, nothing should ideally stop us from being authentically ourselves. But then the ideal world exists but in our imagination. Human beings intuitively seek to eradicate that which binds us and seeks out that which liberates us.

Recognizing this can be most liberating. Understanding it frees us from our own prisons. Becoming conscious of this allows us to attend to the building up of our Will.

Strengthening of the human will happens as we learn to overcome the evil.
