Love in Unlikely Places

As I was growing up life taught me that love is not only to be found in the big relationships I had. With my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other day to day relationships but love is to be found in the most unlikely places.

I would share eye contact with perfect strangers and we would smile at one another for no reason at all. I met love innumerable times in such manner.

I would be drawn to a specific flower vendor amongst many and she would give an extra special flower just for me. I met love in her gesture.

Walking along the waves early in the morning I would stop to watch the sun rise. Another person would stop to watch it along with me. We would never speak a word and there was no certainty that we would ever meet again but there was love in the shared moment.

Taking a bus to go to college everyday I would find myself seated beside another girl (I usually took women's special buses). We would smile at one another and continued to read the book we had (those days we still read a lot of books). In these moments we shared our love for the books and the written word. In the shared silence we respected one another's need for silence and that was love to me.

As I am moving on the spiral of spiritual growth and creativity I feel drawn to explore this idea further.

I am eager to find love in unexpected places and to expand this to feel abundance in the universe.

I love this journey of life!
